Vending Updates India Pvt. Ltd. has been awarded the coveted ISO 22000:2005 certification.

The International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) based in Geneva has developed Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) for organizations dealing in the food chain. These systems are known as ISO 22000:2005 standards and are granted to an organization only after rigorous audit by an agency accredited by the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO).

The food chain consists of production, processing, distribution, storage and handling of all foods and food ingredients.

ISO 22000:2005 includes HACCP, which stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point.
An HACCP plan includes the following:

  • Identification of Critical control points (CCPs).
  • Hazards that will be controlled at each CCP.
  • Control measures that will be used at each CCP.
  • Critical limits that will be applied at each CCP.
  • Procedures that will be used to monitor CCPs.
  • Actions that will be taken when limits are violated.
  • All actions and control measures to be documented.

    Thus, ISO 22000:2005 certification to an organization stands for complete food safety for its products for national as well as international trade.
